Admittedly, there's nothing revolutionary about a rockered ski with a midfat waist, but the way the Captis is built does make it a well-rounded option playful freeskiers and aggressive all-mountain rippers will appreciate. For starters, the Captis has an approachable flex that intermediates and advanced skiers will find easy to handle and surprisingly stable at speed. The tight 17-meter sidecut keeps the ski highly maneuverable in narrow chutes and tight trees, while a happy medium of moderate camber underfoot and rocker in the tips and tails helps keep things stable when you point 'em straight down wide-open aprons and steep groomers. The semi-cap construction helps keep the swing weight low, but still utilizes ABS sidewalls for the durability and stability necessary to charge down the entire mountain with confidence.
