So after all the anticipation of ski season on the way, thesnowbum team decided to go out yesterday for some early season skiing at A-Basin and wow did it feel good! It was an absolutely beautiful day out and it reminded me why I got into winter sports 25 years ago.
Granted, there was only one chair and run open, you could see the excitement of the big crowd that was out trying to get in some early runs. I would have to say the lift lines were long as shit, but the atmosphere was great. Skiers and boarders alike where drinking beers and socializing in line which made for a better experience.
A-Basin had a nice little board park set up with a lot of rails and I saw some pretty sick moves.
